With the success of the book project we have become aware of other needs that can add to our service with very little effort. These needs are mobility and nourishment.
Wheelchairs, School Desks and Medical Supplies
How do mobility issues fit with literacy? It’s simple. A maximum load by weight of books does not fill a container. We can ship other items such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and medical supplies for essentially no additional cost. They also want our old, replaced school furniture as well as used computers and blankets. Most of our cast off educational and medical supplies can find a new loving home with Rotary Books for the World. They will in fact develop a new life and get their Second Wind.
